Pictures of the Classroom

I finally got around to taking a few pictures of the classroom now that everything is moved back in. I still have a few things to "find homes" for, but things are pretty much in their place.

  1. What a beautiful music room! Where did you get your fabulous rug?

    1. Thank you! I know how fortunate I am to have this room. Unfortunately, I can't recommend the rug. It comes from Patti DeWitt, but it was VERY expensive and has not held up well at all. After four years of normal classroom use, it has six huge bald spots on it. I contacted the company and they told me it was due to my students picking at it. I know that is not true because I am militant about the students leaving it alone. I'm sad because it was a really great rug. You will be much better off purchasing the Noteworthy rug from Plank Road Publishing or from Denise Gagne.

    3. I can attest to the value in the Noteworthy rug - I've had it a few years, and even lent it to a 2nd grade classroom for a year when I was switched out of my regular classroom and couldn't use it. It is in near-perfect condition, with the exception of one mystery stain and two places where the edge wrap has started to unwind. A bit of stitching should fix that. Highly recommended! Pity about this fabulous rug. :-(

Kudos to your lovely room, though! I am coveting both your shelves and the supplies that they hold. Enjoy your upcoming year!

  4. Love your set up and your room. I've had the same rug for about 3 year. How do you keep it clean? Does it get shampooed?
